Merritt Design Group is a boutique studio that designs and builds interiors for the way modern businesses and families actually live and work. We pair an architect's eye for material and proportion with the operational discipline of a general contractor — so the room you see in a rendering becomes the room you sit in, on schedule and on budget.
Our work spans corporate headquarters and professional service offices, along with a select portfolio of residential commissions across the Park Cities, Preston Hollow, and beyond. Whether the project is ten thousand square feet of new tenant build-out or a full-home renovation, the standard is the same: spaces that quietly do their job and continue to feel right years later.

Commercial Interior Design & Buildout
Corporate headquarters, professional service offices, and tenant improvements designed to perform as well as they present. Programming, test-fits, design development, construction documentation, permitting, and turnkey buildout — including custom millwork, finishes, lighting, and AV/low-voltage coordination.

Construction Management & Owner's Representation
We act as the owner's agent — managing GCs, architects, trades, and vendors so the project moves forward without the principal becoming the project manager. Schedule control, budget governance, change order discipline, draw administration, and FF&E procurement delivered with the rigor a lender expects.

Residential Interior Design
A select portfolio of full-home design and renovation work for clients who want the same level of execution they expect from their builder and their architect. Space planning, material and finish curation, custom furniture and millwork, lighting design, and full project oversight from concept through installation.

Before drawings, programming. We work with leadership to translate how a company actually operates — hybrid schedules, client-facing posture, growth plans, brand expression — into a space program that makes the design phase faster and the result more honest.

Programming, site assessment, budget alignment, and schedule framing. You leave the first phase with a written brief, a feasibility view, and a clear path forward — not a sales pitch.

Schematic design through construction documents. Material boards, renderings, finish samples, custom millwork drawings, and trade-ready documentation. Every decision priced as it is made.

Build
Permitting, GC selection or self-perform, trade coordination, weekly draw administration, change-order discipline, and on-site quality control until punch list closes.

Deliver
FF&E install, art and accessory placement, technology activation, and a complete handover binder with warranties, finish schedules, and maintenance specifications.
